My wife is 13 weeks pregnant, but all last night she couldn't go to sleep due to minor cramping on her abdoming, is this bad? What should we do?

When I was pregnant I had the same thing. The doctor told me this happens because the baby is growing. She may feel this throughout her pregnancy especially if she is small. I weighed 120 when I first got pregnant. Now my baby is 3 months old and I am back down to 124. This was my first pregnancy at 24 yrs old. She may feel some back pains also later in her pregnancy. The doctor told me this is all normal. They told me to be concerned if there is no movement or bleeding.

everything is growing and stretching..if she starts to bleed or pass any fluid I would be concerned. I still have this cramping at 28 weeks. It is just another annoying symptom of pregnancy! It may pass or she may feel it all through it, cause the ligaments and uterus and all the muscles are growing to accomodate the baby. If she's concerned call her OB.

It is quite normal for your lovely wife to have stomach cramps while being 13 weeks pregnant. However, it is not bad; you just need to know how to control her stomach cramps. To do this, you need to prepare some tea, preferably peppermint tea. A hot cup of peppermint tea will definitely help soothe stomach cramps. Give your wife a hot cup to peppermint tea everyday, and she will have absolutely no more stomach cramps.

it can be normal i had it quite alot, its because everything is starting to stretch to accomadate the little one, but things like this should always be followed up by the midwife or doctor, to be on the safe side
congratulations to you both and the best of luck
