=>24y-18=12y+30 [myltiplying all the terms by 3 ]
=>24y-12y=30+18
=>12y=48
=>y=48/12=4

12y - 9 = 6y +15
6y = 24

=
24y-18=2(6y+15)
expand brackets
24y-18=12y+30
put all y's on the same side
24y-12y=30+18
so, 12y=48
y=4
