Some of us shy from showing others; why? I believe it is a combo of fear, jealousy, and pride. The fear of not quite knowing all you should have known. The envy of the other person that you perceive to be sharper, smarter, younger. The pride that allows people to admire your past accomplishments, with the rider of you being too lazy to stay on the cutting edge. This happens frequently in the scientific community. Thank God for the other persons that teach by setting examples, achieving goals and setting benchmarks. The self appointed expert teaches nothing but to be as he.
