Good/Improved Special Effects (and techniques) like never before,...
Like wise some make up and clotheing were improved.
ANIME!!!!! Due to an excellent advertisement (an Anime Short to gain interest) given to countries, used to grab the attention of executives, and shown to represant Anime at Convients,... Anime came to Countries in Floods. An example of an Anime movie that came in the 80's would be The Last Unicorn.
Good Directors got alot of Films in in the 80's.
Some times writeing and stories were better,
On the downside some things became OVER USED
Some Make Up and Hair became OVER DONE
It is like this,.. for every GOOD for the 80's movies,.. they all become Negatives too when carried away.
Like Sound Effects and Music were good (much better then what they liked to use in the 70's) but then things became over used.
ALOT of long SERIES of Movies started in the 80's and are still being done today,.. mostly horror.
Examples would be Nightmare on Elm Street. Friday the 13th. Child's Play. Halloween.
But I wasn't allowed to see the Horror films at the time they came out,.. so I might think of things and they really be from 79.

The 80s wasn't precisely a classic decade for action picture making - given how great the 70s have been for traditional movies. It replaced into the decade of the blockbuster action picture, and replaced into somewhat Speilberg's era. it is likewise the decade the place the Brits have been meant to bounce forward - what occurred? :-). i assume it replaced into additionally the era the place Meryl Streep grew to grow to be an Oscar universal for her roles in Silkwood, Sophie's selection and Out of Africa. the best videos would desire to be Raging Bull; ET; Tootsie; Out of Africa; Elephant guy; coaching Rita; Amadeus; the colour purple; Platoon; Do the marvelous factor; A Passage to India; Silkwood; A Room with a View; risky Liaisons. Worst? Take your p.c.., because of the fact the studios began to mount sequel upon sequel.

I loved Pretty in Pink. the clothes and the soundtrack are amazing !
Steel Magnolias was pretty poor. I remember crying my eyes out when I first watched it, I saw it again not long ago though and it was really awful !
