I was 9 when I started. Some girls start as late as 16. But it also depends on if your daughter is over or under weight. Take her to a doctor to make sure there are no hormonal problems.

Well, when did she start getting breasts?
It's usually at least two years later than that.
Keep in mind that her father's side of the family will also help determine this, too, not just you. I didn't get mine until I was 15, and nothing was wrong with me-- just a late bloomer.
If you're really worried, take her to her doctor. But give it another year.

There are practices in Taoist/Tantra Yoga to stop one's 'period'. Why would one wish to stop or prevent their 'period'. A couple of good reason .... a natural birth controll method and second the 'enlightened' know that once the 'period' starts woman begins aging/dying. It is not necessary for woman to have a 'period' to be healthy or clean.
Jesus said the "wages of sin is death".
One of the biggest sins is "IGNORANCE".
Some people never die!

Everyone is different so you just need to be patient. If you are really worried (or if she is) take her to the Drs.
