Spending the rest of his life in prison is far better than being hung.

Death is the easy way out. Plus, if he gets executed, there could be a civil war, and US troops will be caught in the middle.

Should Saddam be hung? If that is your question then yes he should be.

Saddam says he would prefer to be shot as a military officer, instead he will hang like a common criminal, I think they got it about right.

Death is a release. Saddam should not be released, not even by death.

He should spend the rest of his miserable life in a cell, endlessly watching videos of the suffering he caused his own people.

Yes. He has been found guilty and sentenced to be hung by courts in his land. It should be done and not appealed for the next 15 years.

That's down to the Iraqis at the end of the day. I hope the execution isn't public like the trial - it is still a barbaric act. The mob over there doesn't need to see any more violence. Come to think of it the mob over here doesn't need any encouragement either.

"Hanged", lewis, "hanged". Just ask a Kurd. You will have many volunteers to kick that stool out and let Saddam take that short drop,

And it is "hanged" - and I quote from Webster's:
"For both transitive and intransitive senses ...the past and past participle hung, as well as hanged, is standard. Hanged is most appropriate for official executions."

So let this one drop, so to speak.

Wise thing, weeks before the hanging pull the troops out then let them do what they will, because hanging him puts the troops in mortality rate even higher!

If he had been sentenced to life in prison, I'm afraid he would find a way to get out. Therefore, hanging is best so he can join right up with Satan.
