ah i see. is this why you need to borrow someones washer today then ??

yes I had a kitten going back about 4 years ago. My cat must of got in my washer machine with the clothes without me knowing and I washed it. I searched for hours for my cat n in the end I found it in the machine well my mum did I were so upset I have never had one since to scared to.

Just find out where the cat is before starting to wash. If it bothers you keep the door to washing machine closed. Hope he doesn't shed or his fur could make a mess of your clothes and that hair won't be so good for your washing machine.

No, but after more than 50 years experience of cats, I find that they will sleep wherever they want.
The problem is that you will have to check before loading the machine.

i dont leave the door open on my washing machine so my cats cant get in there. One likes sleeping in the bath though.

both of mine do they also like the dryer so i can do laundry alone i have to wait till they are sleeping and very quietly tip toe to utility room and then still double check before i start washer and or dryer and close doors. they like the close enclosed area feels safe they make kitty tented beds now they look easy to make

the first cat i got slept in the tumble dryer once and i didnt think about checking it put the dryer on and killed the cat i had never cried so much in my life.

Mine sleeps in the dryer sometimes, cats love to sleep in enclosed places.they feel secure there.
