If you are buying it at Wal Mart, that is a PCI card and will work in any computer. If you are buying it somewhere else, check and see if it is PCI or AGP, if its PCI it will work guaranteed, if it is AGP then you need to make sure you computer will take AGP, your manual should tell you that under specifications.

If your computer has the right socket to take the card (if it's an AGP card, you must have an AGP socket on your motherboard), and you install the correct drivers, either from a CD that came with the card or from the ATI web site, then it will work.
If you're replacing a non ATI card, it might best to un-install the old drivers first.
If your currently using integrated on-board graphics, you might have to go into the BIOS at startup to deactivate the on-board graphics.

that video card comes in pci-e and agp. you have to find out which kind of graphic card slots that your computer has right now. you can do this by opening it up or going to the manufacture's website, then finding you model and then looking for its specifications.

i am also getting a new graphics card but a whole lot better. that one is okay, and much cheaper than mine.

radeon x1600
