After the sadness of losing my wife had faded, I started to have fun, parties, etc
The great thing is you don't have to be home at any particular time, you can bring back who you like.
Obviously there is no one to share the chores with and I miss sex from time to time but these are minor things to consider. I know women who would answer similarly, so it is not just a chauvinist thing

First of all, you are a woman pretending to be a man. How do I know, because of your brain...you think you are "thinking" like a man, but you are not. No man would have chosen those words, in that order, to say what you said. The last paragraph is particularly impossible for a man to think of, that came out of a female brain. Don't bother trying to lie about it like you did to Sanscorpus. Second, I think a lot of people call men who sleep around a lot now manwhores instead of players. Players being the ones with the skills at it (even if it is only money and he knows how to use that), and manwhores are just those that sleep with anyone when the chance becomes availabe. But women really don't need skills. They are either attractive and willing, or they are not. @sanscorpus That is one of the best explainations I have heard. I was going to go a completely different direction, but your answer made me stop and think...and you are right lol.

a) it depends on the man, if he can live a sort of celibate (or even promiscuous) life
b) love and sex are very important to most people
c) it's probably easier if he has never been in a long-term relationship and doesn't know what he's missing

Humans' are by nature not isolated creatures, they thrive from relationships and bond's. However, relationship's and bond's can be sought from other avenue's, so I suppose the answer is yes. But, I personally believe the answer is no. Yes, men can get sex from elsewhere, they can have friend's and family to turn to....but you can't recreate a partnership that you'd have with the one person you love, so although he might be happy on the surface, I'd say there would be something lacking.

No,it's as though I've got to have a partner because everyone else has one,but it depends on the individual if they are happy without one.

I was quite happy living a single, free life in the 3 years between leaving my ex and settling with my girlfriend. Not to say I was happier without her, because I wasn't, but I was happy alone until I met her.
