This process is long over due.
If the poles reversed it would disrupt Earth on a massive scale. To imagine the scenario look at the complications of The Bermuda Triangle. It may sound fanciful, but, this anomaly is occurring where the predicted north pole will end up. At the moment it is fluctuating between the two poles. Aircraft, ships and modern vessels have disappeared because of this swing. Radar goes hay-wire and so too does electronic equipment.
The last one recorded occurred before the last ice-age. This brought the speedy death of millions of creatures known as the Mega-Beasts. There is a place in Russia, (the spot where the south pole sprung up) Where thousands of these Beasts lie dead. Twisted and crushed with trees and vegetation, smashed together in gruesome contorted throes. Massive lava flows are mingled in too, on a truly monumental state.
It lasted only for a few years but the impact was colossal!!!

Unfortunately not, though it would be highly entertaining if they did. The only great change would be to magnetic compasses, and the many species of animals and birds that seem to navigate by way of the earths magnetic field.
Nowadays we use gyro compasses and so can safely navigate around the birds, animals and trains whizzing around in the wrong direction.
I dont think there would be a major disaster - like the end of the world, or anything. Least I hope not.

Compasses would point in the opposite direction...and there would be some environmental upheavals untill things settled down, but beyond that...things ould be pretty much the same...just hotter and more radiation coming from the sun getting through.

No. Magnetic field lines don't effect the direction of current let alone anything else. Except maybe the force. Besides, its magnitude is small.
