Several boys growing up in 40s or 50s, I believe it was in New York, they steal a hot dog from a vendor and when the vendor almost catches one of them, they hold the vendors cart at the top of subway steps in order to distract them. Unfortunately the vendor cant hold the cart up, and it falls down the step and hits a man. All the boys end up going to juvenile hall for the incident and i think they all get raped in jail.. Does anyone know what I'm talking about. Help me please.

I'm positive you mean the movie Sleepers. Robert DiNero and Brad Pitt are in this movie, as well as Kevin Bacon. It is actually a story of revenge.

You are right, it is Sleepers. I have it on DVD and occasionally I do slip it in and watch it. For one Robert Dinero is pretty kewl!!!!!
