Yes. To me, marriage is a way of making our relationship official.

No. It means a woman is giving up her rights and name to become subservient to a man and her property becomes his and there's so much other garbage involved. Plus half the time the ink doesn't dry before folks are talking divorce! What a waste of thousands of dollars and time!!! A prime example of why not to get married is the Terry Schiavo case where her parents wanted to keep her alive but the husband wanted to take her off the machines and because the husband had "taken possession of her" the judge followed the husbands wishes and allowed him to starve his wife to death. I call it murder and it was! The husband had wanted to marry some woman that he'd had two children with and was living with--which means he was cheating on his wife--and he didn't want to get a divorce or annulment because he would have lost her millions from the lawsuit.

Since the days when I was young, marriage is perceived as a norm for adults who reached a certain age level. Life cycle is such that young kids goes to preschool, then to elementary school, high school, college, university, marriage, have kids, and their kids goes to preschool...blah blah blah....

As we got sucked in the world of such perception then, marriage is something that completes life cycle. Hence, when two people fall in "love", they get married ... for what?? ... happiness it seems..

Today, reflecting back what I perceive, see and believe, I can just knock my head silly! Marriage need not be part of life cycle. Not where happiness is! But I must say, marriage has taught me a lot about life, people and reality. So, that part I must give credit to "marriage", be it what I had gone through is tough or easy.

Now, my eyes are fully opened to what life has to offer me still. At least, I am now better equipped when life throw its punches.

It's the place for a man and woman to come together, start a family and lead normal lives. It involves giving up selfishness and becoming responsible.

Liberals can't understand that, because their existence is founded upon what feels good, and is selfish and irresponsible. Hence, all of their solutions for not doing things the right way - abortion, easy fixes for STD's, ect.

In a way, yes. It's a partnership between two people (unless you are Mormon and I think it's more than two people)

Marriage isn't easy at all. Getting married is very easy in comparison to wanting to stay married.
