Yes many people give importance to dowry only.All will think that if they have money they can live happily.For this reason all are going for big dowries without considering the girl as a perfect match or not.

its not olny in India, all over the world its now an uproar. I beleive this happens mostly in the society of woman control(home minister case) which is immersing the actual culture. But I think its the boy that plays a big role. The groom should put the step down and say that the groom party will take nothing othwerwise he will not get marry and I bet you it will work. Y i say this cause this happens to my firend and he did this and it worked.

Yes. Unfortunately it is true.Bride grooms are treated as saleble commodities.Those girls a who are not able to spend money remain unmarried. The astocities continue even after giving the dowry demanded , wives are sent back to their pasrents to collect more.The wives are burned or murdered for not bringing additional money demanded.This is the reason why lady child is killed at the time of birth. but very slowly things are changing for better.
