breaking an important law, even if unknowingly (as claimed by Shoaib & Asif), demands punishment ...

The law says that they should be punished. I feel bad for them, especially Muhammad Asif, because he didnt know about the drugs. I hope they are not punished too bad, because they are both good cricketers.

Hmmm, I think they must be given a mercy chance. As players might have unknowingly consumed the product.

I think this type of things are new to Cricket. And icc should distribute a list of products or cautionary measures to be taken to avoid the intake of banned products. A detailed menu should be distributed among player and team coaches.

Further the respective boards of countries can hold seminars to educate their players.

They tested positive for banned drugs and they deserve punishment as punishment helps you to mend yourself. But here is the question of two players one at almost the end of his career and other at the begining. I being a Pakistani consider PCB the real culprit. If they are to conduct drug tests then why they did not provide players the list of banned drugs. I think its a pitty and its a joke that you are trying to impose a law and asking people to obey the law but you don't know what is it all about. The Pakistan Cricket Board is a bunch of self righteous fools none of them sincere with their job. Their job is to create opportunities for foreign tours, not to miss any chance of money making and bring their kins in boards employment on some lucrative posts. From peon to Chairman every one is plundering the board and none of them is aware of laws being laid down by ICC. What happend in England when Inzamam refused to take the field? What our manager was doing then? He was sitting on a chair oblivious to what was going on as if he was on a personal visit and had spent a lot of money from his own pocket to bear the expenses of the travel. Alas when will we change and when will we realize that we can not survive in this era of competition without knowledge, talent, integraity, sincerety, and 100% committment.

Definitely they should be punoshed,IF, they have a foolproof evidence of their guilt. But on the contrary i also think that a 2yr ban for Shoaib is too harsh as it will surely end his career and as for Asif, i think that the verdict is appropriate.

according to law they should be punished ........ But , I wish they should not be, i feel sorry for them, especiay for Asif ,i feel he was not aware of the medicine , well Its PCB' fault, it should have developed the awareness about the the drugs.......anyway though they are guilty for that, but i wish them good luck even if it is not just to wish them.

but its a fact that they will be punished ,thats certain.
