If so, are you familiar with the term mulatto. Are you offended by the term. Why?

I don't have a need to catagorize. I just have a problem with the term.

I am bi-racial...depends on how the term is being presented...for the most part...no, I am not offended

I am familiar with the term mulatto. I believe that being offended would probably vary based on individual beliefs of what they would like to be refered to as.

It is an old term, used in the days that blacks were called ****** and whites were called "massa". The world is growing up beyond the need to classify people by their "breeding". If you look deep enough, nobody is a pure blood, if that means anything anyway.

I am half black half white.People often tell me I can pass as white.No I don't get offended by the term mulatto.Me and my brother are what you would call passing white.My hair is darker but my skin is lighter than my brother.

Sorry don't have the parent mix, just a problem with "terms" concerning people, What ever happened to NATIONALITIES of people, regardless of race/mix?

Why do you need to categorise somebody in that way? Does it make you feel superior ?The person you are referring to is just another human being and if his name is John then that's what he is. A man called John.
