If it's something I'm doing it doesn't matter. I find me just working (On my own stuff) relaxing.

If it's other peoples to be honest I like Kinkade. I know he's not popular with a lot of people "in the know" but I find his stuff has a tranquility to it that a lot of other stuff doesn't. I wouldn't call his stuff high art but I dig it for what it is. Certain landscape paintings have the same effect on me. Usually if they're based in the woods.

I guess the way I look at it is picturing myself there where it's quiet and nothing else is around and just "being" without everyday hassles getting to me. It might sound silly but it works for me.

I'm not in the slightest artistic, can barely write my own name, HOWEVER i find paintings and pictures of the sea particularly relaxing and calming, ok, it might come across as sad but I understand what I mean, but the sea makes you realise how small and weak humanity really is, how troubles don't really matter, the sea can wash them all away - oh my god, apologies for my ranting, I just love it though!!!

I love portraits - the human face is the ulitmate achievement in art, I think! I can spend hours looking at people's expressions, clothing, accessories, backgrounds and presentation. I like to imagine what they were thinking as they sat, whether they were pleased with the result and if they enjoyed showing off their new portrait to their friends.

Abstract - using thick acrylics! Slap it on! If ye don't like it - slap on some more over the top!

An easel, canvas, acrylic paint, no.8 nylon brush - and a bottle of Rioja!!.....sometimes some music in the background!

Your work is more graphic than artistic: It is visually very elegant and appealing, but it does not move, nor does it stimulate the imagination, the senses. It is just a bit cold. Unlike others, I do like the titles.
