Oops haven't got Lego Starwars ... so can't answer that part of your question.... though I would have guessed that the side that does the loading is the side without Lego Starwars printed on it????

2 depends on lighting and the way it reflects... purple or blue. Most lights show a purple hue while a florecent reveals more of a blue.
