Why not, if that's what the local laws provide. However, I think he'd suffer more being confined to a 7 x 7 room with no visitors the rest of his life (probably 10 or 20 years) This guy thrived on power all his life. Reducing him to an impotent nobody for years and years would be the best punishment.

If you believe in the death penalty..yes he does, he has murdered thousands of innocent people..Thousands!..But if anyone really thinks this is democracy in action as Dubyah would have the world believe!..Think again, Three lawyers have been murdered, Saddams American Lawyer was thrown out for questioning the 'fairness' of his trial, the previous judge on the case quit because of American political interference!..And it goes on and on!..Its been a political show trial from the start, but what a rotten creature Saddam is, Hang him?..Well, he did worse than that to his own people!..But hang him to get control of the US house of reps and the senate?..I dont think so!..
