It depends on the situation you are in; for example i had twin boys at 14, and luckily my whole family inc my 16 yr old bf stuck by me and we are all still happy to this day! however if i was to be facing the world alone i would not have the same view!!!

I started with my first child when I was 18. My children are happy and inteligent. So whats the problem with teenage parents? Don't know. If they are under 18 they will need some parental skill assistance. The fathers say? If he is involved with the child he should have equal say. Obviously mom will have the majority of the decision, but dad should have an equal amount of pull.

I think possibly the chances of a teenager father being financially sound are very small. Also he will not have had as much life experience as say someone in their twenties/thirties. However if the lad has a sensible attitude and is responsible I think any problem can be overcome. A good Dad is a good Dad no matter what age.

i was a teen farther(16) im now 33 my eldest is now 16 and is a really good lad works hard is one of the leader amongst the groups of friends i have two other children aged 12 and 5 they are all very good and dont get in trouble and well behaved because i taught them right from wrong and good values it is hard work to have them young but also can have many pluses like the closeness and understanding is better also generally you are more active so can be more involved
its down to the persons how it goes but i have found its easier and make better chioces as i have got older so so there are + and - and both side but if you live a life of a perent young you miss out on being young yourself :O)
but mothers useally get more say than fathers even in the eyes of the law :O/

My parents are very good parents and I am a teenager. I am not a regular teenager but my parents still expect me to be truthful with them and get good grades. I am not a rebel like some teenagers I have never been on punishment and I am dating and my parents trust me. I am a straight A student and I love my parents dearly for holding down the fort for my life until they think I am old enough to handle it myself and that would be when I move out

Dont know any teenage parents. If not married, under the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 they do not unless they have made an agreement with the mother or have a court order.

there are laws and rights that every father has...as for becoming a parent...its scary no matter how old you are? it just seems that society is beginning to come around to the idea of teenage parents..although personally i had my first child at 19 & i'm glad i waited as now at 32 my life is on its way back...ggggrrrrrr8

the problem is they will have no education and no life experience to fall back on. And in my opinion, the father has a equal say because she didn't get pregnant by herself.

an equal say in what exactly!
and what is wrong is they are hardly grown up them selves it is a big responsibility for someone who hasnt really got that many life skills and is only just a kid themselves! dont get me wrong i dont think its all bad and a lot of teenage parents are amazing! but they do not have the stability a lot of adults can offer mentally and physically.
