Anyone with a good basic knowledge of diy should be capable of fixing their own decking. If decking is on level ground use concrete blocks to form a level platform for a frame of 6x2 (150mm x 50mm) shaped to your own design.
If your ground is not level, use 4x4 (100mm x 100mm) posts concreted into the ground at desired level, and fix frame level.
Then cut your decking as required and fix using decking screws, takes longer than using nail gun but ensures your decking will not twist.

yes of course give it a go. but as suggested by others try to find a how to do it leaflet or seek advice from diy shops first. decking gets very slippy when wet, by the way (very funny story but painful). remember to lay weed fabric over grass or borders going under the decking first or all will grow as normal in the spring! good luck.

Absolutely give it a go. I just finished mine, its easy. Find a straight edge and work from that. Measure the distance from the straight edge to the other end. this = x, then measure the width of your board and go out from point a that distance. Then measure the distance again, this = y. This will give you the angle of the board, then repeat, then repeat. Use galvanised twisted nails, or galvanised screws, you'll be right

My husband and I did ours, although it was an easy shape we did have to level the concrete and we did it from scratch, not bought to size.

If you have got plenty of time and the weather is right, you should plan it properly and make drawings of everything. ie plan, elevation etc.
Good luck.
