i have done my interior designing course , but i haven taken training under anybody . tell me what to take steps towards a sucessfull designer . i have collected lot of interior designing books.

You can do the following
Visit old temples and monuments - learn study and note the arcitecture and designs involved

Go to well done Hotels and Offices and see whats new and what suits

Learn to sublte colur usages

Visit Stalls and exhibitions

You will surely need exposure so better join with some interior firm or Good constrution firm to see and learn implementaion.

To start on your own, you will have to have a Good team of Carpenters, plumbers, elctricians, Plaster of paris guys so that you can execute Turn key projects

No more so than fashion design, hairdressing, or ballet dancer, although you will certainly encounter a higher proportion of bisexual, and gay men, when compared with, say, construction workers, or firemen. Your father is at least old fashioned, and possibly homophobic: (it may help, to reassure him that you are not, if, in fact you aren't in the above minorities) do what you want to do, regarding your career choice, or you will almost certainly regret it, later in life. "If you do what you like, you will never work a day in your life".
