How can I reach Chidambaram from Chennai Airport at Tirusulam.?

I am New person to chennai kindly guide me in detail.

Three options:
1.Catch a Taxi (expensive but quick)
2.There are buses from Chennai to Chidambram ,maybe once in 3 hrs.You can catch one right opposite Airport (on the GST road).
You can also catch a bus to Pondicherry(more frequent) and go Chi'm from there (~40km)
3.Take a suburban train from Tirusulam stn to Tambaram stn.
There are trains from Tambaram to Mayiladuthurai which go via chidambaram.Infrequent trains and not dependable option.
