definantly, i think it shouldnt be a sport. All it is is 4 guys playing a game with a ball whilst a lot of guys just standing around waiting for the ball to come to them. It's nearly as boring as golf and it doesnt relax you as golf does.

First of all, as we all know, cricket is a an outdoor sport- which means that men are most likely the ones to play it. Secondly, it think it is over-rated in the developing south asian countries (india, pakistan, etc). This is largely due to the fact that the outdoor sports industry is kind of weak if you take out cricket from it. Moreover, people have fewer 'entertainment options' in these countries. Few people have playstations in their homes. So cricket remains an obvious choice as a tremendous entertaining activity for boys and men of all ages.

I agree with rac_fleming and Roshni.
Cricket is not over-rated. It is a popular sport.
But,everyone has different tastes. Some people might like it,while others will despise it. I am in the middle. Sometimes I watch cricket,sometimes I dont.
I even joined the cricket team @ my school,LOL,and it was really fun!!!

Well it is the second most popular sport in the world and has more followers than basketball, baseball and gridiron combined, so if weight of numbers counts for anything, I would say it's rating as the second most popular sport in the world with over a billion fans is about right.

Pretty much. A friendly game at the beach with mates is all good but the hype is too much on the matches. Watching a 20/Twenty game live is okay cos it's fast paced and you have the atmosphere but on tv? Total snore fest.

Yes. Playing it is mildly entertaining, if you're waiting for a bus or something. Watching it is torture.
