Originally, it opened with Rock Around The Clock by Bill Halley and the Comets.

Then it changed to Happy Days by Norman Gimbel and Charles Fox.

In 1974 the Happy Days theme "Rock around the clock" was done by Bill Haley & The Comets . This was probably the most famous version .A full length release was made by Norman Gimbel and Charles Fox .Also a version was recorded by Pratt & McClain with Brother Love .

Though I always thought that Anson Williams did it (Potsie), as he is seen singing it during the opening titles.
