yeah, i think it's true. It wont be a true friendship, it will be an artificial relationship that has the potential but at first the person wants you for the money so you can buy friends but not the values that come with it.

Money can definately buy positive attention. Money can buy people wanting to be close to you, hang out with you, and be part of your success. Money cannot buy loyalty or love, however. If someone has to be paid to be a loyal friend, then they are merely loyal to whomever makes the best offer, which may or may not be you.

In fact, money can often have a negative impact on friendships because the wealthy are always suspect that those who show interest in them are only out of the money--thus, they introvert and tend to hang with only those who are successful, which greatly limits real friendship opportunities.

yes i think it's 100% true. if they are your friends because you are rich then they are not good friends, because they act. They dont have true feelings. You are just a convenince to them. True friends are the people who loves you and care for you for who you are. And not precisely like you because you have things... thinks about it. if you loose your money do you think they will be there to help you or if your in a problem will they help you and not expect anything back from you... .think about it

Money can buy friends. It can buy you lots and lots of silly and frivolous friends. It'll give you the means to entertain people, to give people something to desire about you.

However, money can't get you the kind of friends who will be there for you when you're at your lowest and you really need them.

Money buys acquaintance's, not friends. Real friends can be counted on one hand and only a fool thinks otherwise. A fool and his monwy are soon parted.
