as in the Ninetendo DS then its great. i have the 'lite' and its so much fun. its great sitting at home and playing games against friends who are sat in there house. Mario Kart is so much fun. i missed that game and this one has courses from ALL of the other consols so there are courses i had never played. not so keen on the PS3 - expect it now comes in pink. wouldnt buy one though.

In my opinion, both systems are awesome, but for different reasons. I am not a fanboy in any shape or form, but this is just my opinion.
PS3
The PlayStation 3 looks awesome. However, I dont think it will feature anything strickingly different compared to the Xbox360. Dont get me wrong as the PS3 is better than the 360 in terms of power, but I think you will only see a difference when you are running the PS3 in the best quality TV-set --- but not tooo much.
The PS3 also uses those 'blu-ray' drives which basically enables games to have more storage. I am sure the makers will make good use of this space for video sequences in high definition, etc. It is safe the say that no other system will compare of the videos!!
Lastly, the cost of the PS3 is a complete turn off in my opinion. Maybe when the price drops (whenever that will be), maybe I shall consider buying one. It also depends on the games currently available.
WII
The Nintendo Wii is certainly a different breed of games consoles. However, the power of the system is (aparently) slighly better than the first Xbox system. Obviously there is power behind it, but it is nowhere near the level of the 360 and PS3.
Graphics aside, the Wii surpasses all in the gameplay department. The new controller(s) givers gamers and makers the chance to expand on the gameplay market. Not only can be use them as a racket or a baseball bat, but we can use the controller to walk around while aiming at our enemies on the TV screen.
The Wii is also very cheap and the size of the system is weird, but in a good way of course.
WHICH IS BEST?
Well, my brother currently has the 360. We both enjoy the system very much and we have agreed that the PS3 would be pointless until it is an acceptable price.
At the end of the day, both the 360 and PS3 are powerhouse systems, but the Wii is the wizard of gameplay. With this, we will be buying the Wii on launch.... AND WE CANNOT WAIT!!
It look like the PS3 loses in this household. I suppose it doesnt matter because there are many loyal Sony fans, and the PS3 will do well regardless.

both are over rated and under rated at the same time by different people..
im a playstation fan so i normally would be into the ps3.. but as a gamer.. i also like the wii. just not as much as the ps3.. reasons is because the games on the wii or gamecube previously didnt catch my attention. only ones are the Zelda, Mario and that ONE Metal Gear Solid game.. as of now. the wii doenst catch my attention yet.. neither does any of the current stated launch game release the ps3..
if i chose to buy one at launch it would be the PS3.. as for the WII i will wait for a big price drop then buy it along with any games for it.

never heard of the nintendo wii but the ps3 is supposed to be really good with the graphics and better games.Looks quiet nice too.
