I easily have worked in EMS and hearth with females and can certainly say that ninety 8% of the time, there replaced into in no way any attention approximately their sexuality as far because of the fact the job went. I easily have additionally had the possibility to have interplay with lady law enforcement officials and function got here across all of them to be professional and in a position, in no way a difficulty. however, i additionally stay interior the U. S.; i do no longer understand in case your question is particular to any particular subculture or usa. the matters that have arisen have been as a results of concerns approximately notwithstanding if or no longer the guy replaced into employed because of the fact of "affirmative action". it somewhat is the bleak act of hiring somebody no longer because of the fact of their ability or journey yet because of the fact they'll tutor that the organisation has a sequence huge variety or minorites or females at artwork. A police academy graduate gets handed over for the duty in a undeniable city. The submit somewhat is going to a girl who replaced into twenty factors in the back of this guy for the era of the academy - all so as that the city in question can say, "we've six hundred law enforcement officials, of which 250 are females." In my suggestions ability outweighs intercourse any time.

In terms of getting the job done, there aren't any. Men, will always be distracted by women and will tend to compete with each other rather than focusing on the job. This goes doubly for the armed forces.

It's great to be very PC and have an equal opportunities attitude to this. I have a bit of input as I was a police MAN for 30 years in London. A bit of history.
Up until about 1971, Women Police Officers were a separate branch of the police FORCE. They dealt mainly with women and children and very much performed the role that Social Services are supposed to today.
They were very good at what they did and they tended to identify problems with children before they became delinquents - nipping problems in the bud. They were highly respected by their male colleagues.
Then came equal opportunities legislation and young women entered the police force in their droves. It was great - most of them joined for all the right reasons; BUT: they were a "new breed" of police women. I think it is true to say that most of them were looking for a man and equally true to say that most of them found one.
Very few stayed to be career police officers - most left to start families, never to return.
Of course, many DID stay and added a great deal in skills to the police forces they were in. Men and women are so different in the way they deal with conflict, and quite often women are better than men at defusing situations.
Where they are NOT so good is where force is required. My wife always says that, if she had an urgent need for police assistance where there was danger involved she would be VERY hacked off if two 5ft girls turned up. (And YES, she would of course be equally hacked off if two 5ft MEN turned up.)
Let me put a hypothetical scenario to you: A violent demonstration takes place; protestors are violently trying to force their way through the police lines. How, if you were the target of this aggression, would you like to be defended:
1 an organised group of men, trained in public order control;
2 an organised group of men and women, trained in public order control; or
3 an organised group of women, trained in public order control.
I would suggest that the answer is obvious. It applies virtually across the board of policing situations. Of course the police need female officers, but to employ them on equal terms as male officers is misuse of their skills and misuse of public money.
I know there will be much weeping and wailing at what I am saying, but the equal ops lobby has always failed to identify and use the strengths that make us different. Complementary of course, but totally different.
I KNOW it was dreadful, and I am very much a modern man in that I am not afraid to cry in appropriate circumstances; but that poor Teresa Milburn sobbing her heart out when giving evidence at the trial of her colleague Sharon Beshenivsky's murderers is one small example of why women should NOT be put in to such situations.
The loss of the age of chivalry should prevent us from placing women into front line duties, whether it be the police or the armed forces.
Imaging the furore if we introduced conscription and treated men and women as equals; there would be uproar.

In police work guy cops can search girl suspects. If a girl gets arrested she has to be searched. If there were more women working as officers there would be less sexual lawsuits against hard working honest cops.

Diversity for one, issues of domestic violence for a start. Rape and all those women issues are great when tackled by a female police woman. And for male police men, the issues of violence against them and the anti-social behaviour going on in the streets and in pubs are better handled by them.
