I ran out of pills while we were out of town, so I had to wait about a week to get them again. Three days after I had started taking them again, I had sex with my boyfriend. How long does it take your body to get rid of/get used to taking Low-ogestrel again? Any chance that I could be pregnant?

You can become pregnant almost immediately after discontinuing the pill. For people who want to try for a baby - this is great news. In cases where the woman has forgotten or run out - this isn't such great news. Once your hormone levels drop far enough, you can and probably will ovulate.

The fact that sperm can live in your body for a few days combined with the fact that there is pretty decent chance that you ovulated, gives a pretty basic pregnancy equation. Obviously, pregnancy is much more than just getting an egg fertilized by a sperm though- there is also whether it will attach, whether it'll grow, etc.

Anyways, what I'm trying to say is, YES there is definitely a chance that you could be pregnant.
