which rabbit will survive the cold? long eared rabbits or short eared rabbits and why?

Both, ear size is irrelevent and all rabbits can tolerate cold temps as long as they're sheltered from direct wind/snow/rain/sun.

Short ear rabbits do not loose heat through their ears as fast as long eared rabbits

Rabbits make great house pets you just need to prepare a little. You will have a much closer bond with them this way. http://www.rabbit.org

both........because they have fur to keep them warm and they live underground
