Everybody is always on their best behaviour at the start of a relationship, we don't openly show our flaws and will try and project the "perfect" image to our partner.
Once they have us hooked, that's when the mask slips and we get a better view of who they really are and this is where the complacency sets in. Why do they need to try when we are already theirs?
If he has been romantic in the past then obviously he is capable of romance - he chooses not to be romantic now because he's already managed to reel you in and doesn't feel the need to continue the charade.

Interesting that the accusation was limited to guys, but anyways...
Beings that you like a romantic guy I would guess you may like a romantic movie as well. Are you really that convinced that the actors are in love? I have to say that the mystery of a new woman does flare my romantic side a bit, but after getting to know a woman its much easier to decide if the woman is worth the effort the romance requires.... maybe women aren't worth the effort, is why guys don't bother. How's that for sexism? BTW, on the rare occaision that a woman IS worth the effort, acting isn't necessary...neither at the beginning or 5 years into it.

Its all about first impressions isn't it he would have walked trough broken glass to get to see you in the beginning and now that he is yours and you are his he doesn't feel the need to be something he feels he never was . So in fact the guy that you married is really not the guy you met ,its his lesser side that you are spending your married life with not prince charming .
Love is ever evolving from heavy lust through smoldering love to a pleasant friendship that can or cant sustain a heavy sex life .
You will have to lead him by the hand or drag him kicking and screaming to the movies or a park or out for a walk just to hold hands or swing on a swing . drop a hundred hints about that bunch of flowers that your girlfriend received from her boy friend and how the girl gave him the best loving he ever had and that little gift that made her such a little kitten for months after he gave it to her . he will think that you will be more receptive to him he gets a reward and you get romantic quality time . hope it helps even if it is a little sneaky

I'll let you in on a secret. If a guy is perfectly smooth and "romantic" right from the start, the odds are pretty good he's a total player. Guys who actually give a **** can't in good conscience lay it on that thick that quick. Guys who see you as just another piece of behind are totally cool and confident because no matter what happens you can't hurt them. You're just another girl to them so what could they possibly have to be nervous about. Sincere feelings and romance take a little time to develop. Players playing their game on you take no time at all. Think about it.
P.S. Oh! You're married! lol. That makes it much easier. Marriage kills good sex and romance. Why would you do that to each other? Ugh! Marriage? Ugh!

When romance takes place, the Man moves in for the killer instinct to approach and to mate and when he has finished his mating, he then evaluates what he has just felt and the Truth will be told as too if sh will be the one or not.
It is mating that decides the fate of a marriage and romance. If she (The Woman), has failed to achieve the greatness of Man in bed, she will lose him and if he Marry her and fails to achieve his calling, the marriage will eventually break and fail and end up with an argument and very verbally abused.

In a really boring moment I picked up my girlfriend's Cosmopolitan magazine and flipped through it. This month there is this whole thing about your question. Essentially, when a man sees a woman he is attracted to men's hormones spike and they continue on this high in their chase and wooing of whatever women they find attractive. After a few weeks (or even three months) those hormones level out and men no longer receive the hormone high they used to get from the chace. In other words, no more flowers and romantic dinners

Because guys are famous for doing anything and everything possible in order to get sex. They'll say anything, even talk about marriage. Don't fall for it or you're going to get hurt.
Okay, so you're already married. Guys are famous for doing anything and everything possible in order to get sex, including marriage. Don't fall for it or you're going to get hurt.
