If you have ever watched the movie mask (not the one with jim carrey) the one with cher in it. its an older movie. anyway the main character Rocky likes this blind girl and how he described red to her was by putting something hot in her hand and i believe for blue he put something cold.

I would find music i felt conveyed red, something fast and complex- like furiously played violin music. Or I would find a texture for them to touch, i would imagine red as being like a spiked ball. Basically, i would try to find things within the senses they may have more acutely. In the end however it would be completely subjective and even if they did "imagine" red correctly, you would never know. "Red" after all is just a word we use to describe a distinct experience we all believe everyone else experiences exactly the same.

Bake some cookies or rolls and give it to the person. Not when they are scalding hot like just out of the oven, but hot enough to explain that red is considered the hot color.

if the person is blind from the beginning you cannot do anything. but if he became blind after you can ask him 'what color of your blood?' automatically he understand it :)

get them to think of what the sunlight on a hot day feels like on their skin...if they've been blind from birth I see this as a pointless task...
