EVERY is a bad word to use. This year's Kansas City Royals and Tampe Bay Devil Rays both lost 100 games each. I have no doubt that most Japanese teams (minus maybe Rakuten) could beat them.
I think that an average or above average US team and an average or above average Japanese team might split a series depending on the given time period. There are lots of talented players in both leagues. I am thrilled to see these All-Star games every year.

On average, I'd say that American teams are still much stronger than Japanese teams, although the difference has really been narrowed over the past 10-15 years.
The one advantage that Japan has is that their talent is spread over only 12 teams, while that of American teams has to fill 30 rosters. However, even with that difference, the American teams still have better groups. That's not a knock on Japanese baseball, but it's just a fact that the best players from other regions - Canada, South America, Central America, even Japan - come to play in the American major leagues, which just gives even the weakest teams an advantage over the Japanese.
Of course, this is all just my opinion. I would love to see a series played between "average" teams from each league, to see if there is indeed a talent gap, and to see the difference. For now, though, I'm happy to watch this current All-Star series, even if I have to do it on my computer since nobody is broadcasting the games here!

Part of the reason American teams are stronger (at least for this year's tour) is that there are players from 35 different countries playing in the Major Leagues, including several from Japan, as we well know. With this huge pool of talent, it stands to reason the Major League players can field stronger teams. Japanese teams are great but with less than half the population of the USA and with mostly Japanese players playing in the Central and Pacific leagues, it stands to reason in a team sport, you do better with more potential players.

That's definitely not the case. The World Baseball Classic
was won by Japan, not the USA. I think Japanese teams could
be competitive with MLB counterparts. The only difference is MLB teams can afford to pay more, which is why they are relatively stronger overall. If the Japanese teams closed the gap,
the Japanese teams would be as strong as the MLB teams.

American players are probably physically stronger, but I do not necessarily believe that the teams are stronger. They play two different kinds of baseball. Japanese baseball focuses more on pitching, and hit and run scoring, while American baseball has taken a turn towards homeruns and power hitting. If you put the two leagues against each other, it might be interesting to see who comes out on top. Japanese players who have come to the US have been very successful in baseball, and some American players have found a place on Japanese teams.

surinthedesert gave a very diplomatic answer. The fact is the best Japanese players go to the US, whereas only US players that can't make it in MLB go to Japan. That is true for all countries, MLB gets the best players from around the world. So I think US MLB teams would come out on top in the long run. Saying that I believe Japan has as good a system for developing their young players, and it paid off in the WBC.

When a player is in their prime they will play in the US.
Because there is more fame and forture in the states, in the big time.
That doesn't mean its better quality.
I would bet there are japanese teams that will give some major league teams a run for their money.
Because they are actual teams (japan WBC side was a great team of players) They play well, do the basics right etc. etc.
