Unless there's an exclusive definition of 'SINGLEMOMS' then your question can't be answered. I was brought up by a single parent and she has absolutely nothing in common with some 14 year old single mother who got bladdered on White Lightning cider at her 13th birthday party and got knocked up.

What kind of question is that? It should be something that you can figure out all on your own. How old are you? Some single moms work very hard and are divorced or parenting at no choice of theirs so how are you going to put that kind of crap out there?

I know for a fact that I have a corporation and work very hard....it's nice to pull in my checks and the sky's the limit on what I can do. What I find most of the enemy are males who do not respect single mothers because they feel they are weak and will be trampled on until they get hit with a lawsuit or arrested or smashed up side the head.

Single mothers are called human beings and as such in all human beings you have your scumbag single moms and then there are ones like me who love entreprenuership and don't have the time of day for loser males trying to get a free "ride" in any manner.

You must be a teen to ask such a question because surely you're not an intelligent full-grown adult.

Sighs...

Each single mum is different and cannot be labelled as a group of super mums or enemies of the state, many mothers in relationships who bring up children and work and run the house are supermums, providing mothers are bringing up their children with values and setting a good example it doesn't matter weather their single or not. The only enemies as you put it are those who deliberately get pregnant for a house and money, in which case I feel sorry for the children because they already have a handy cap in life before they start, a mother who see's them as a meal ticket not a human being to be treasured.

It depends on how and why they got there and whta they do to get themselves out of it.

Just because a single mum doesnt work, doesnt make her scum either. Some people have the old fashioned view that mothers should be at home with their kids during the day rather than shipping them off to a nursery.

I think its the couples that have 10 kids are in a position to go to work but decide to sponge off the state are the enemies.

I dont think most single mums want to be in the position they are in either.

There are more than 1 type of single Mum. I know of at least three that left school pregnant because they didn't want to get a job. They freely admitted this and intend to live off welfare their entire lives. These are enemies of the state.

But the ones who work hard or who become single Mums not by choice, these are the superhero type. I don't know how they do it.

You can't lump everyone into the same group like that, its like saying is everyone who wins the lottery deserving; or is everyone who gets cancer or ends up in a wheelchair braver than everyone else.

If we do a good job of raising our kids to be decent people we are superheroes, because thats no mean feat these days. Even well of families don't always manage it.
But that applies to all parents, not just single ones.

Depends, I'm a single mother on benefits but I do go to college so that this situation isnt permanent, I didnt have kids so that i didnt have to work, I was married and working. The only reason i dont work now is that i cant possibly earn enough to cover the bills. It does annoy me however, that every 16 yr old chav who spawns a baby gets a council house and lives off the state for the next 18 yrs, they seem to enjoy being scum

It's impossible to generalise. I have a friend with three children - her husband left her when they found out her third child was disabled - nice man that he is!

I have no problem with single mothers - I do have a problem with the education family support system which have let them down and led them to believe that their only self-worth is sleeping with someone in complete ignorance of the risks. I don't believe 'children' should have children.

As with every category of humanity there are good ones and bad ones. There are the scrounging off the state single mothers who REALLY get up my nose and shouldn't be allowed to have children! Then there are single mothers who are doing everything they can for their children, you have to admire them!

Some single moms are so, to make money out of the government. Some just keep having babies to make money.
The moms who are single by pure bad luck/management - are quite often superheroes - as they battle to manage as good mothers and survivors~!
