Not initially, that would be too obvious and I'm sure that many countries are on the alert, but terrorist attacks are always in the planning stages. The difference today is that the various governments are doing a better job of stopping the attacks before they happen. I do think however, that the armed forces in Iraq are going to have a much harder time in the near future with insurgents/ Saddam supporters fighting back showing their displeasure with the Saddam verdict.

No, Saddam and his followers had nothing to do with 9/11, so his death will not result in an attack on U.S. soil. His execution will reek havoc in Iraq, however, putting our troops in further harm.
