If you have a memory card reader (about £10 from pc world) you can connect it directly to a PC via the USB hub and copy the files to the memory stick.

first either hook your psp up to your computer using a USB cable, or get a memory card reader for the Sony memory stick.
then open up the 'my computer' window on your PC & double click on the new 'removable disk' icon.
you should see folders for music & photos etc - put your files in here. if the folders aren't there, then format the memory stick using the PSP menu.

use this link this should explain alot to you.
http://www.askdavetaylor.com/how_do_i_get_photos_and_music_onto_my_sony_psp.html
if not use www.psp.com this is the offical psp site this will also help you!
it is all alot simpler than you think. its all just basic understanding of the files found within the psp. eg. you have a folder inside your psp folder ( when connected to the pc) called PHOTO and this should be in capitals. all you have to do is copy pictures and valid images into this folder! puttin mp3's and wma files onto your psp is slighter more complex but is still easy to understand.
hope this helps
