I notice that Western Civilization managed to get great success due to the fact that we encourage open debate and philosophy. Actually, a lot of the advancement of Western Civilization is thanks to free speech.

Does anyone think that Asia will one day reach the stage where open debate and philosophy (free speech) is accepted?

Just as with Western countries, there is a history to the cultural norms of Asian countries and any change does not happen overnight. Things will change slowly, if at all, and not steadily but in leaps and plateaus over many decades.
There will always be a small elite in each country who are familiar with "western" political history and philosophy who wish to enlighten their own populations, either by adopting it wholesale or creating a home-spun variation of it, which may prove more palatable locally, but they rarely affect the majority with their views.
Overcoming the idea that disagreement can be a force for positive change and should at times be encouraged, rather than always seen as negative, will take time and education; just as it has in the west. Starting over 2,000 years ago in Greece.
The greatest catalyst to social and political change is often economic development, as witnessed in countries as diverse as Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea and mainland China. The more affluent and educated the population, the more questions they ask and the more say they would like in their future.

You are comparing a huge continent to maybe one country, the US.
There has always been philosophy. It does not affect civilization as there is no one prevailing philosophy in any society.
The advancements in western civilizations are due to free enterprise. Free speech is a political issue and may or may not affect free enterprise. In China, right now, there is a boom in free enterprise. The Communist government does not allow free speech.
There are philosophies of all sorts in Asian countries. It is a fancy word for "opinion."
Some Asian countries have free speech. Some do not. Those countries that have free enterprise are doing the best: Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong.

I don't know if there is a culture out there that doesn't debate over philosophy for that is a part of forming each cultures beliefs. I also don't know how you came to that conclusion....What would Asia or any of us be without philosophy? Free speech is a bit different than forming one's opinion.

Asia is the biggest continent, no longer a rustic. some human beings do no longer even have the popular understanding and desire to point out flaws in others. Thats a great puppy peeve of mine. perhaps chewing with their mouth open isn't the biggest subject for persons whilst they'd desire to subject approximately the place the subsequent meal is coming from. perhaps in case you had your ideas and eyes interior the proper place, you will think of of larger issues to be your puppy peeves!! goodness!

No. There are governments in some countries, like Singapore, that will never adopt free speech.
