Our cat was doing exactly the same thing last night. She was in a very deep sleep and kept growling and snarling in her sleep. I think that she was probably continuing the fight that I had broke up earlier that night between her and our other cat. I guess that she didn't want to let it go... Cats can be so funny!

Yeah my dog snores so loudly he sometimes wakes me up and his is such a small dog I often wonder how he snores so loudly. Between him and my husband it is a wonder that I get any sleep at all.
It is very funny to listen to him snore and the noises he makes when he is having dreams.

Dogs that snore, bark, growl, snort, and even howl.
But the best part is watching them try to run. All four paws seem to expand and twitch in time as they are running in their dream.

yes my chihuahua snores a lot and wakes himself up sometimes, it is hilarious though! i think the funniest i've seen were when my bullmastiff's were asleep they would whine like something was after them and jump and run in their sleep. it was so funny cause here is this huge dog whinning like a little puppy. i used to say they were chasing bunny rabbits:)

Yea my animals do the same thing. My dog even tries to run in her sleep.
My cat makes squicking sounds in his sleep and twitches a lot.
It's totally normal, they're just dreaming :}

animals dream and move and yelp just as humans do, have you ever watched a sleeping person? try it sometime and you will see the same thing, i have often wondered what my dog red-rum was dreaming about when he does this, he sleeps in my bed in the day, as so do i, i work nites.
