I work for an ophthalmologist office, and i can tell that your contact can not slip inside or behind your eye...period. BUT..it can fold up and get stuck between your lid and eye. Please be careful not to rub your eye, as you can severely scratch your cornea. Use saline to rinse your eye, if it is there it should show its self or fall out. Chances are your contact fell out and you irritated your eye trying to find it. If your eye is still bothering you after the saline rinse I would suggest that you call the Ophthalmologist or Optom that you use for your eye exams and get an appointment for a quick recheck. Good Luck.

It happens, the ones I use are difficult to tell which way they are so I do put them in inside out quite often, but it soons becomes apparent because the lens doesn't 'settle' and moves when I blink. If you're not sure just take it out and put it back in the other way, you'll soon get to know when it's wrong if you do it a few times! Sounds like this is what you've done. Don't forget to put some comfort solution or whatever you use on it before you put it back in. My don't sting at all, they just don't feel right. Put the lens on your fingertip and if the edges seem to curve outwards instead of inwards, they're inside out.

I just got my contacts and the practioner gave a little manuscript about how to put them in, take care of them and whatever. The very first sentence in that manuscript was "contact lenses can never go to the back of the eye due to the eyelids folding back to form the eye." I'm going to take his word for it cos hes going to get an irate semi-blind white boy on his case if it isnt true. Get someone to check your eye by opening up your eyelids. They'll have a better view. Good luck.

No, it can't. That's a myth that things can get behind your eye. The conjuntiva, which is the clear covering of the white part of your eyes, folds back over itself and comes back out onto your eyelids.

it cant go in your eye but it can get cought under one of your eyelids. if it feels unconfortable like dirt in your eye it could be the contact. Be careful because your eye has a layer of skin on it so dont try to pull off your cornea.

No it is impossible, they may get stuck up in your upper eye lid but that is as far as they can go.
