Reality in everyday usage means "everything that exists". The term reality, in its widest sense, includes everything that is, whether it is observable, comprehensible, or self-contradictory by science, philosophy, or any other system of analysis. Reality in this sense may include both being and nothingness, whereas existence is often restricted to being (compare with nature).
In the strict sense of Western philosophy, there are levels or gradation to the nature and conception of reality. These levels include, from the most subjective to the most rigorous: phenomenological reality, truth, fact, and axiom.
Other philosophies, particularly those founded in eastern religions like Hinduism and Buddhism have different explications of reality. Conceptions of reality in Buddhism include: dharma, paramattha dhamma, samsara and maya (illusion in Sanskrit).
I believe reality is both what is seen externally and what is perceived through internal belief.

Reality is a combination of internal and external factors. An example would be seeing a person walking towards you carrying an axe. The external reality is that a person IS walking towards you carrying an axe. However, your perception of that situation creates an internal reality for you (e.g., he is coming to kill me).

Ok, here it is in a nut shell: God created EVERYTHING. How/why/when/ where/ we may not be able to fully grasp just yet. We are only human beings. We are not capable of knowing all of the details we must have faith. We must listen to our hearts and feel the truth. Is Christianity right and Hinduism wrong? NO. For some reason, God has made the different religions set in a way for each culture to understand. What I find amazing is how most of the religions are almost identical! Believe what rings true to you. I believe in Jesus Christ, but I do NOT think you must believe in Jesus to avoid Hell, to get to Heaven, etc. Just search deep within yourself and you will find your answer. God is Love and certainly you believe in Love, right?

I beleive it is both, our reality is based on perceptions of the real world, which is external. However, our perceptions are, in many cases, based on pre-conceived notions and assumptions about how the external world is.

both-we are influenced by a combination of external environment, and process it internally by experiences lived and presumed

Humans are pretty stupid. We live in our own worlds, influenced weakly by reality.

I think it's a little of both. When people see or experience something, they also bring their own subjective perspectives to it.

Apparently nothing exists without objectivity and subjectivity.
Pehaps without objectivity and subjectivity we may become 'closer' to 'reality', or 'truth', or 'god'?
