I don't know about you, but I happen to have only one carpet...but I prefer the hardwood floors.

No. They can, but depending on the color, it could be way too much of a good thing. I try to keep my carpet a neutral shade so I can go wild on the windows or on the wall color or in some other way.

I have mostly wooden floors so I have different window treatments but no blinds.
