Federal is $2.13/hour for "tipped" workers. BUT BEWARE some states have raised or lowered that on their own. See the following web site for an interactive state by state minimum wage chart.

I paid my tipped help $3.09 an hour. I was exempt from $5.75 or whatever it was at the time. It has something to do with the total annual revenues of the restaurant to qualify for the exemption.

When I waited tables in Corpus Christi I made 2.13/hr. When I tended bar it was 3.13/hr.

Usually its 10% of what you spend in that outlet.

But you can give more if u like that service
