We would call Lincoln a very conservative minded person today.
But, in his time, he was much more of a liberal.
If he was resurrected and brought up to speed on all the events, then he would have the intelligence and experience of a right winged wartime president who saw a light through the convoluted issue of slavery (which is crystal clear now), but who is also enough of a liberal and gutsy enough that he can adapt to newer issues, I think we'd have the perfect middle ground president who can look at the situation from all angles and figure out the obvious solutions, and then find out a way to carry them out in this time of thick confusion and war.
Either him or Mr. Truman, destroyer of worlds.
I'm tempted to say Teddy Roosevelt too. He is probably the greatest man who ever became president, and I would never oppose his coming into office. In fact, I'd vote for his corpse today if I had the chance.
Edit: The ONLY people with a thumbs down are the people who answered your question. The ones with thumbs up dodged the main subject or else commented on some nonsense like your spelling. wtf?

I would love to know what mess you are talking about and I would also like to know why you consider the Presidents you listed as dirty? I only see 1 president who was dirty and how you could consider Abraham Lincoln as dirty I will never understand. Your spelling is terrible and your thought processes are even worse.

I would say FDR becasue he was the ultimate President in terms of intelligence, thoughtfulness and general understanding. Outside the box, I would say Reagan because I loved his style and personality as a man. He'd just go into Irq and start kicking stuff until it got fixed. Amen.

Nope. The source of problems with every administration comes from two main sources, the actual government, and the rest of the people. The government, which of course is comprised of mainly a group of men (and women) who is, interestingly, usually ungoverned, and the people, who finds life so much easier if they have someone else to blame.

You give Bush way too much credit.
He didn't create the mess, he is cleaning up what should have been handled years ago.
Thank Bill for not taking stronger measures while he was in office.
His weak stance emboldened the terrorists and made them believe we would not respond so forcefully to 9/11.

FRANKLIN ROOSEVELT! Is the only one I can think of. And definitely not another dirty president. We do not want to compound the mess and make it worse.
