betrayers of the british 'way' that has ever been perpetrated on the long suffering social structure of a people. Dont you think?
Iraq, lies, lies lies! 74,000 people in prisons. A'nti social behaviour which is probaly THE most terrible indictment on a countries social structure. Dumbing down of standards in grammar and speech. Armed forces, not being given the right equipment. Speed cameras on every bloody corner. So called political correctness? I am totally and utterly sick of the terrible state the country is in.....I could go on.

People are f**king stupid. Personally I have NEVER voted for labour, I always knew they were ball licking, scum bags. I was just 10 years ahead of the majority I guess. I don't necessarily blame them for Iraq though, the best intellegence from all spy agencies (not just the CIA) said Saddam had WMD and he had used them before, and he barred anyone from verifying he didn't. But their pissy pants policies on crime are disgusting, there was an actual study that was carried out, giving some A level students tests from 15 years ago, and 45% failed, 45% did significantly worse, but passed, and 10% equaled or bettered their current grade. So yes the dumbing down of the education system diabolical. Speed cameras, well anyone who has robbed or attacked knows the cops are useless, lazy, wan**rs. I mean what do you need to be a cop a grade 10 education and a bad moustache? Not much more anyway. PC has always been a joke, but the past 10 years have brought it to new heights of idiocy. Hopefully, we will get a change, but NOT GORDON TAX YOU TILL YOU DIE, THEN TAX YOU AGAIN, BROWN. Unfortunatly, I don't know if David hug a hoodie Cameron will do much better.

Joesph M: You failed to mention with this great standard of living we have, we also carry the largest personal per capita, in the world, an increase of 50% in bankrupcy, and all those people that over extended buying that lovely house that they own at 3% interest, now 4.75% an set to increase more, the government false economics look good on paper, but the bubble is going to burst, and when it does, then we'll see how fantastic the standard of living is.

The Labour ideals and honest dealing is what I was bought up with have just disappeared like a whiff of Scotch mist. Like the Loch Ness monster which has been exposed as a fraud and so Labour have been exposed as the lieing cheating avaricious political cheats that they really are. What we have experienced and the Trade Unions have been complicit in this has been a continuation of Margaret Thatchers policies. They have not repealed any of Margaret Thatcher's anti trade union laws. I have not mentioned incompetence such as selling our gold reserves at $240 an ounce that is now worth $1200 an ounce. Then reneging on the Lisbon Treaty referendum. I was a former Labour voter for 50 year standing. Not now. So I know where and at what political angle your Dad is coming from.

I think it's unfair to tar a whole party with the same brush as Blair. Have you already forgotton how many party members resigned when the UK got involved in the Iraq war?

Have you also forgotton the Thatcher years? I remember them, I remember having to live off porridge and wear charity shop clothing when I was a kid. I can remember when they reformed the housing tax too, that was really fun, all those baillifs raking it! I remember the Gulf war too, which was a ploy to keep the Tories in power. I can also remember jobs going at the job centre at 10p/hr, and my first job was at 17p/hr back in 1987. There was NO minimum wage!
I think people are better off today honestly I do. I don't agree with Iraq but I don't blame the Labour Party for that.
But then people are never happy, and so they shouldn't, we're here to evolve, but don't forget the 70s and 80s and 90s - hah, I left in 1994 for a very good reason! No bleeding jobs! There are heaps of jobs nowadays in the UK.

I totally agree with you but I think the tories and Libs are just as bad.
They all get overpaid and have massive expenses claims plus cars/houses etc.etc.
Quite a few abuse their power and they also have problems keeping their zippers up.
I am looking forward to retiring so I can sell up and move abroad, retaining a small pad or living with kids for part of year to cover any medical problems, after all I have never been out of work and have paid for it. This is unlike quite a few new people in the area who have arrived from abroad with the husband remaining in their country. They pay no taxes yet their kids are getting educated and they fetch sick relatives in to be treated by the NHS at our expense.
Please dont call me racist, I simply state the fact that these and some white families abuse the system and no government has the balls to do anything about it.

I couldn't agree with you more this government sees a problem and taxes it, however who is a viable alternative, nobody in politics is presently worth a vote, all governments come in with big promises then once in power line their own pockets, its just human greed, i honestly think we're gonna have some serious problems in this country very soon people are going to wise up and protest, during the term of the current government i have gone from having a fairly nice life to working merely to survive and pay tax and there are many far worse off than me. COME THE REVOLUTION!

Couldn't agree more. On the economic front much of the trouble is still to be realised. The debts built up against massively inflated house prices. We have an economy built on debt. Eventually, foreigners will stop lending us and America, money.

Just thought to tell you,the conservative party were known as the party for extravagance when they were in power in the 80's,90's-so we will probably be going back to that old chestnut again when labour leave office-no matter what D.C. says!! ALL the political party's are much the same,WE NEED NEW BLOOD IN THIS COUNTRY,a peoples party, for the people...no one seems to be listening,or willing to take on that mantle though:-/

The rot started with Thatcher and her mad scheme to discredit Keynsian economics. Think what we could have done with all that North Sea Oil money! We were so desperate to get shot of Major because of her we were easily conned by the smarmy Blair. He has taken advantage of British political naivety to sell us out even quicker to multinational business. We get the politicians we deserve and when more people will vote for Big Brother than for their Prime MInister, we can't complain.
