I don't completely understand this question, when a pregnancy develops, it produces amniotic fluid, some women produce more then others, it is normal and healthy, I don't think there is a treatment to make more fluid, normally the mother produces enough fluid for the baby. Some mothers produce a lot of fluid and the fluid can retain in other places like the ankles and wrists, As long as the amniotic fluid doesn't leak during pregnancy until the onset of labour it should be fine. If your worried then speak to a doctor to have it in detail explained don't be worried about asking your in your right to understand to the best you can about what is happening during pregnancy.
Best of luck.

The term for this is oligohydramnios. Most women who have too little amniotic fluid end up having a normal pregnancy and baby, however sometimes there are some complications, like the baby developing a clump-foot due to the cramped space, other babies develop problems with their kidneys and lungs. The causes of oligohydramnios are usually related to the uterus being too small, and diagnosed by less movement of the baby and slow grow rate. I hope this was of some help. Check the link below for more info or google on the term oligohydramnios. ood luck

The pregnant woman is usually put on bed-rest to try to retain as much amniotic fluid as possible. The baby won't have as much room to grow and develop if there isn't enough fluid, and the lungs do not develop as well for babies who aren't surrounded by enough amniotic fluid.

Now don't quote me but... When there is less fluid surrounding the baby in the belly there is less protection, which means that you should be a lot carefuller with trauma to the stomach. Also the baby could be born dry. This is when the fluid is not present at birth because of waters breaking or drying up beforehand and the baby is born with peeling, dry skin, nothing that some lotion and oil can not fix.
