Check the version of JRE that IE is using. This you can do from Tools->Sun Java Console. If the version of JRE is not the one that is supported by the application that you want to run then you would have to install the right version

If you recently downloaded IE7 this is a common problem, fix for this to follow if it is older version of IE or a different browser try uninstalling and reinstalling java.

Open an Internet Explorer 7 browser window.
Click on the Tools menu in the upper right of the window.
Choose Manage Add-Ons and then select Enable and Disable Add-Ons.
Click on Sun Java Console.
Make sure the radio button at the bottom is set to Enable.
Click OK.
Close the window.
Open a new Internet Explorer 7 browser window and go to the Pogo website.
Launch a Pogo game.
Try one that you are sure was not working previously so you can test it.
Java should now be fully enabled and Pogo games should work correctly.

Hopefully this helps.
