My daughter married a guy who's whole family wlk and talk in their sleep! My 2 grandsons have inherited it from them. It is weird to wake up to them talking so much! One grandson moves around every night and my daughter never knows where he will end up by morning. He stays in one place at my house though and I don't understand that! They also sleep hard and are hard to wake up. Noises never bother them. My other grandkids wake up at any noise or sit up as soon as you say their names. They don't walk and talk either while sleeping.I had a friend who crawled under his house while asleep and got a stick that he had thrown under there during the day. He was about 10 when it happened. He woke the next morning with the stick in bed! Can you imagine how scared he would have been if he had woke up while under there? Scary! I hope you stop it soon. I understand it happens more when you are stressed or over tired so keep cooool and get plenty of rest!

Sleep talking and walking are very common to kids. During the stage of REM the the brain activity accelerates causing the body to react. When these doesn't disappear around the age of 10 (some experts say 6) then you have to see a doctor. Many adults are suffering from sleep eating nowadays.

Yes it is a form of sleepwalking. Theirs seems kinda severe though.. maybe they should see a doctor. I have known people to make conversation in their sleep.
The person may be under extreeme exhaustion as well. That can cause irratic sleep problems, hallucinations and all the like.
