Oh, the emotional cheat is worse - much worse. There is a chance of repairing a relationship if the cheating partner was only looking for a sexual outlet, but how can you repair it when the cheating partner is looking for love?

Neither are good but how would you know about the emotionally cheating if they never said anything? As for the physical cheating that's a little different. You could be caught doing that. I mean in reality most all people will look at others and like what they see. But it doesn't mean they want to bed them. And what do you do if you have a strong relationship with your spouse and one night you wake up because you just dream that you slept with someone else. How do you control that stuff. It doesn't mean you would go out and really do it. You just can't control what you dream of. You may feel guilty about it but really what are you going to do ; Tell your spouse that you just had sex with another person in your dreams? Please. Physical cheating is controllable and you can say no. But that's the choice of the person doing it.

I think thats like saying who is worse...men or women.
I am a man so I might suggest a woman's emotional cheating or lack of communication or vested trust in a relationship is what might drive a man to such frustration that he goes out drinking and bedding another woman.
Of course, thats just my half of the story...not that I ever have.
In either case you have heinous issues in the relationship. The emotional cheating is a deep seated problem that can be expressed in many ways, not necessarily by her having some sort of infatuation with another man, but also displayed out of cowardice or fear of rejection to move forward, speak up etc.
If there is physical cheating then someone putting the relationship at physical risk (disease, unwanted pregnancy etc).
You can go to therapy or move on to another relationship.
You cant get rid of STD. So maybe physical is a bit worse then.

Cheating is cheating. Everyone has lusted in their life. That is normal. However, if your significant other keeps going back to the SAME one, there is a problem. Emotionally/physically, it doesn't make a difference. "IF" your significant loves you, he/she would not continue cheating with your heart. Your partner would stop this behavior if he/she knew it was breaking your heart. When you love someone, when they hurt you should also hurt. Would you honestly want to spend the rest of your life with your heart aching/hurting everytime you turn around? Wounds heal........scars last a lifetime.

emotionally would be worse. the flesh is weak, and to give in ONCE, i could forgive as long as they were remorseful. cheating emotionally, and allowing yourself to fall in love with another person is really bad. it has to be an on-going thing, and when you are cheating emotionally, you KNOW you are doing it, its not spur of the moment. to KNOW that you are hurting the person you love and KEEP DOING IT, is the sick thing. but someone who cheats emotionally OR physically repeatedly is bad either way. a one time weakness is human, and they can learn from it and not do it again. to continue an affair, is selfish and cold.

For me, cheat emotionally is worse, because for me, if you hurt the person emotionally, she will suffer it for a long time, My friend already experienced it, and i saw how her life became miserable, she always cry when she heard the name of that bastard and she's really smart but because of what happened, she starts to absent in class, and i don't know what to do to help her.

Both hurt.
Physically you should be able to control and it's all about respect. If it's emotional cheating, then I believe the relationship should be over anyway.
