Coming down the chimney may be a common way for Santa to visit, but it isn't the only way.
Many people have no chimneys or else very narrow chimneys (particularly in newer houses). As people who lived in thatched huts or igloos will tell you, Santa doesn't always need a chimney that leads to a fireplace.
I've been told Santa actually sneaks in through front doors or even, occasionally, windows. I don't happen to know if people need to leave a key hidden somewhere or if Santa just has a magic Santa key.

When I was a kid we didn't have a chimney so I asked my parents the same question. My Mom said Santa had a magic silver key that let him open any door and my Dad said Santa carried a teleporter in his sleigh. I guess you can take your pick between the two but I really like the teleporter idea better than the key.

Don't you know that Santa has magical powers? He can just appear anywhere. How else do you think he can go all over the Earth in a single night? He just uses the chimneys to save time.
I believe in Santa Claus!

In my country (Cuba) we don't have chimneys either, so Santa Claus becomes very tiny, like the size of an ant and enters through the threshold of the front door. Nothing is impossible for Santa!!

I had a similar question when i asked my dad how Santa got past our alsation dog that sleeps in the house. He said no-one is good anymore so he doesn't deliver presents. He punishes us when we are older by letter us buy our children the gifts they want from him.

Don't you know that your parents provide Santa gifts for you? Santa died a long time ago so your parents continued his tradition of giving gifts.

You don't get presents this year then. You must build a chimney, or else your presents will be given to your neighbors.
