It has helped me to maintain contact with family & friends in another state and also helped myself & my husband with a lot of research we recently had to do

15. How do you feel about the internet, and why do you feel this way? I think it's great because like I said before, we have so much information at our fingertips now that was not available when I was growing up, it amazes me how fast you can get an answer to a question now.

A - I do a lot of other stuff like movies, sport and reading so Internet use is not such a big factor for me.

C - You don't need the Net to have a good social life. I actually think that these days, people should try to get out a bit more.

It's extremely easy to get information that I may need (news, sports or research) and just to past the time in an entertaining way (like Yahoo Answers)

12.Do you feel the internet has helped or hindered our society? Explain.

Definitely improved overall. The world has now become a global village and news & information is able to travel in a much better way. It allows knowledge to spread more easily which is important in the developement of the human race. On the negative side though, people may tend to be more anti-social. Kids will rather surf the Net than play a sport which I think is wrong. People need to strike a balnace between using the Internet and having a social life away from the computer.


13. Explain the influence the internet has had on your life.
To be honest, it has not had such a huge effect on my life. I could easily manage without it. However like I said before, it helps a lot when I'm doing research and makes it a lot easier to obtain relevant information so in that regard, it has had quite an impact.


14. What do you enjoy doing outside internet use?
Love playing sport, reading, watching TV, going to the movies, having drinks with my friends

15. How do you feel about the internet, and why do you feel this way?
I like the Internet. It is a great invention and improves society on the whole. I say this for the reasons given in 11, 12 and 13.

11. It's fun. If I need to find information on something, I just type it into a search engine. I use it for my own personal enjoyment and for school. (I.E. research)

12. Probably both. It's a great thing to have.. People find information online that they might not have offline [i.e. rare diseases, etc]. It allows everyday citizens the ability to create or join forums to voice their opinions.. It allows people who might have never met otherwise to come into communication. But, at the same time, you have pedophiles [with their own disgusting communities online] and hatemongers spreading their hateful messages.

13. Well, I think I'm addicted to it [lol]. But, at the same time I've met quite a lot of good people online that I wouldn't have otherwise. I'm a loner and an introvert, so, it helps because I'm more talkative online.

14. I enjoy mostly reading, rollerblading, and protesting :D

15. Again, I think it's good and bad. It's so vast that everyone can find a niche on it. But, at the same time, no one really controls it.. so that allows for it to be abused (or at least, misused) by some people.
