My dad served in the Merchant Navy off the Siberian coast of the Soviet Union as a radio operator during World War II, so I wear a poppy to remember him and all the millions like him who served our country so proudly and the many who died so we could be free to think for ourselves.

The only reason I have not got my poppy on right now is that I left it on my other fleece.

Of course! My grandad fought and died in the war, and without him and others like him we wouldn't have the wonderful lives that we have. Buying and wearing a poppy is just a small way of saying that I am truly grateful to them.

Yes I do...always! Some people wrongly think it represents the lost soldiers in the 2 world wars, they have to be reminded that it also reminds us of the brave soldiers who are fighting this very minute. It is a small gesture for us who have never had the misfortune to live through a world war or to have to fight.
I think it transends religon and politics, just a small way of saying Thankyou.

Yes. And I will wear 1 every year until they ban it. Gonna happen soon. They banned people from flying British flag.

Yes I do, I wear one for my granddad who lost his legs during the war and for all the service men and women both dead and alive who gave their life and time for this country during the wars.

I always buy them but dont usually wear them because they always fall off, or curl round so you cant see it, maybe they should design a badge with one on so we can keep it on longer, i put them in my plant pots (if i havent killed the flower that is).

Yes, every year, but I do wonder whether the money received actually goes to the real needy people.

I do every year with pride and always stick a note in the collection tin, rather than coins.
